Ny dato for FISM 2009

ANNOUNCEMENT
During the meeting of the General Assembly, held in Stockholm on the 4th of August 2006, the China Magic Art Society was elected to host and organize the FISM World Championship of Magic 2009 (FISM WCM2009) in Beijing, Capital of China.

After this election there was an unfinished discussion about the exact dates of the FISM WCM2009.

Initially it was decided to follow the suggestion of the organizers to hold the FISM WCM2009 at the end of August and the beginning of September. Main reason for this preference was the lower outside temperature in Beijing than in the month July, in which month FISM WCM’s usually take place.

It was also agreed that the Presidium would further look at these dates more closely and check whether they do not interferenwith the the holiday season too much.

After having consulted several Presidents of member-societies and in close collaboration with Mr. Lin Jian, Executive President of FISM WCM2009, it is decided to settle the dates of the FISM WCM2009 to

26th till and including the 31st of July 2009.

These dates will also be mentioned on the FISM WCM2009 website: www.fism2009.org

Conventioneers who pre-registered in Stockholm and who will be no longer able to attend the convention because this change of dates, will be given the opportunity to have their convention fee reimbursed.
